Student Success Snack Program
Just a reminder that there are snacks available in room 226 for those who would otherwise go through their school day without food. Please direct students in need to this service. Donations (of food or funds) are certainly welcome!

What about this?

Welcome to the new Student Success Blog...The Student Success Teacher (SST) at CHSS is Margery Holmes, she works within part of an integrated team which supports students at risk. The focus of this team is to provide mentoring and monitoring programs for all students, particularly those who are struggling or disengaged.
Our student success team also facilitates all the meetings and discussions with our feeder schools in order to provide smooth transitioning into high school for all students, again though, the focus is on those students who are at "at-risk" for any reason.
Credit Recovery is used when students fail a course and are not required to repeat the entire course, they are then re-taught the part or section of that course and given the opportunity to demonstrate their learning and receive credit. Credit Recovery has been a "saving grace" for many students who do not need to repeat an entire course.
Student Success has run a "Tuesday Lunch Help" in room 226 for a few years now and it too has become quite famous on the second floor at CHSS. It has been very successful and has helped many students in need particularly with Science and Math.
